Notes

The Isimangaliso wetland park was named a world heritage site in 1999 because of its natural beauty, rich biodiversity and unique ecosystems ranging from coral reefs, sandy beaches, subtropical dune forests, wetlands and savannah’s.

Cape Vidal offers visitors the best of both worlds with a combination of wildlife and marine life of the Indian Ocean. In summertime leather-back and loggerhead turtles lay their eggs in protected zones on the beaches.

From June to November humpback whales migrate north towards Mozambique and can often be spotted from shore.

The wildlife of the eastern shores includes buffalo, waterbuck, rhino, bushbuck, hippo and crocodile. Not even to mention the more than 520 species of birds. Best of both worlds indeed.

Customer Reviews

Pro's: - very cool guide, easy approachable for questions and talks (Arno) - good company, and breakfast and bbq provided (also drinks) Contra's: - very small breakfast - quite expensive (especially when you don't see lot of animals) and if you compare it with an entry ticket (when you would do it on yourself) - Sagaerts

Wonderful experience - Koos
